Neurology Rehabilitation

Sharp Physiotherapy Limited provides specialist neurological rehabilitation for individuals with a wide range of neurological and complex conditions. Our service is designed to deliver high-quality, evidence-based rehabilitation tailored to each person’s needs.

Conditions we support

We offer rehabilitation for people living with, or recovering from, conditions including (but not limited to):

• Multiple sclerosis

• Parkinson’s disease

• Incomplete spinal cord injury

• Peripheral nerve injury

• Stroke

• Traumatic brain injury

We also welcome referrals for individuals presenting with neurological symptoms who may not yet have a formal diagnosis.

Where we deliver treatment

Neurological rehabilitation is available at our Barrowford clinic.
Where required, we can also arrange home visits and nursing home visits.

Medico-legal services

We are able to provide medico-legal assessments and reports for court purposes.

Our expertise

Our specialist neurological rehabilitation team has over 35 years’ combined experience in the assessment and treatment of neurological conditions. We use recognised neuro-developmental and evidence-based approaches and, where appropriate, incorporate emerging rehabilitation technologies to support recovery and functional independence.

Clinical lead – Dr Nicola Spence

The service is led by Dr Nicola Spence.

Dr Spence is currently the MSc Advanced Physiotherapy Programme Leader at the University of Salford and brings her academic and clinical expertise to Sharp Physiotherapy on Tuesday and Thursday's.

She has extensive experience in the assessment and management of individuals with a broad range of neurological conditions, including complex and undiagnosed presentations.

• Initial assessment (up to 60 minutes): £65

• Follow-up appointments (45 minutes): £65
